Fat Transfer/Fat Grafting with Tulip
Autologous fat transfer is the procedure in which your own body fat is used to plump up or add volume to sunken areas of the face. As it uses your own fat, as oppose to dermal fillers, it is considered safe and non-allergenic. It provides natural-looking results that can last for years. Fat transfer with Tulip involves three key steps. The first step involves harvesting the excess fat through liposuction from the donor site, which is usually the abdomen, buttocks, hips, flanks, thighs, or jowls. In the second step, the harvested fat cells are isolated and cleansed by mechanical means, leaving only the whole, undamaged, and cleansed fat cells for the fat transfer. The third and final step involves injecting or transplantation of the fat cells into the targeted areas of the face or body.
